I think there is a natural aversion to uncertainty. We want to KNOW things.  But the reality is&#8230; there are no guarantees.<\/p>\n<p>We are free to believe there are guarantees.  And it can be comforting and sustaining to believe in guarantees. \u00a0But the future is uncertain&#8230; and nothing is harder to predict than the future.<\/p>\n<p>I was brought up in a Christian home. \u00a0We read the Bible. \u00a0The book of Revelations is a prophecy. \u00a0In it, it asserts there is a &#8220;Book of Life&#8221; and that the future is already written. \u00a0I reject that.<\/p>\n<p>I believe you can be a Christian and believe in Christ and not believe Revelations is true. \u00a0Belief in Revelations is irrelevant to a Christian&#8217;s salvation.<\/p>\n<p>I believe that the choices YOU make matter. \u00a0The book of Revelations in essence says otherwise. \u00a0It asserts that everyone&#8217;s eternal fate is already pre-destined.<\/p>\n<p>So I call myself an uncertain prophet. \u00a0I have written uncertain prophecies. \u00a0If you want to read them, you may: <a href=\"http:\/\/uncertainprophet.blogspot.com\">http:\/\/uncertainprophet.blogspot.com<\/a><\/p>\n<p>There is also a website named <a href=\"http:\/\/uncertainprophet.com\">http:\/\/uncertainprophet.com<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I have decided to embrace uncertainty.
