Uncertainty

I have decided to embrace uncertainty. I think there is a natural aversion to uncertainty. We want to KNOW things. But the reality is… there are no guarantees.

We are free to believe there are guarantees. And it can be comforting and sustaining to believe in guarantees.  But the future is uncertain… and nothing is harder to predict than the future.

I was brought up in a Christian home.  We read the Bible.  The book of Revelations is a prophecy.  In it, it asserts there is a “Book of Life” and that the future is already written.  I reject that.

I believe you can be a Christian and believe in Christ and not believe Revelations is true.  Belief in Revelations is irrelevant to a Christian’s salvation.

I believe that the choices YOU make matter.  The book of Revelations in essence says otherwise.  It asserts that everyone’s eternal fate is already pre-destined.

So I call myself an uncertain prophet.  I have written uncertain prophecies.  If you want to read them, you may: http://uncertainprophet.blogspot.com
